What are the best Verizon cell phones to use when reception is limited due to lack of relay towers?
We live in the western-most part of North Carolina. Back in the “sticks” as they say. Once we leave the main highways, our reception is extremely limited. Most of the time, it is non-existant. It is time to update our cell phones and we were hoping to obtain hand sets that would be usable in our home.

OK, with Verizon, you want to ether get Motorola, or samsung, and these have to be “Tri Mode” phones. I have the samp problem…….I live in a tiny town is Washington….so i asked all the same questions…and my phone works great, when other non-tri mode verizon phones don’t.
LG also has tri-mode….but not as good….
i have an lg 8300 and it works everywhere I go. when you purchase a phone you have 15 days to try it. before you get “the one” try out the ones you like take ‘em home and see which one works for you if the first one does not work take it back get another just pay the difference.

most of the Verizon employees can answer this for you if you ask them in the store. I live in Texas, way in the sticks, no service. I have a Nokia..
most of the time the old[er] phones work the best. just make sure you tell them what you are looking for in your phone too.. cause mine doesnt have a camera, nor does it have the get it now (ringtones..ect..)
i just needed to talk and text in the sticks and they handed me this phone.. works alot better compared to my friend’s verizon high-tech (lg chocolate) phone! hope i helped!
