I previously showed you Reputation Item Farming for Scryers, so in this installment we will be discussing the Rep Farming for Aldor.
Aldor Item Locations
It is crucial to stay up to date with your server’s economy, so you need to keep running the Auctioneer Mod to keep track of it for you.
As I said with the Scryers and Firewing Signets, I suggest you do not spend too much time going for the lowest level Aldor item, Mark of Kil’jaeden. As far as making gold, you will be able to pull down much more doing Motes and Primals around level 65.
In order to cover your requirements of Mark of Kil’jaeden for quests and earlier Rep turn-ins, the best spot to farm is Terrokar. Head south from Shattrath City to the Bone Wastes. In the north and northwest areas of the Wastes; hunt the Cabal Abjurists, Cabal Tomb Raiders, Cabal Spell Weavers and Cabal Initiates. All of these are in the level 62-64 range. You will get tons of Marks of Kil’jaeden, but you are also going to be getting a ton of Netherweave and Runecloth. Both of these items will bring you in some sweet extra gold at the Auction House.
Now lets talk about farming gold big time!
The most efficient spots for farming Marks of Sargeras and Fel Armaments are in Netherstorm… as long as you are level 70 that is. You need to begin in Stormspire and shoot up north to Forge Base Oblivion and Forge Base Gehenna. There are demons here that are in the level 68-69 range and drop Marks of Armament at an extremely great rate. You need to be taking out mobs of Ironspine Forgelords, Cyber-Rage Forgelords and Wrathbringers.
In case you are a herbalist and/or enchanter, you need to go to Socrethar’s seat; the island just northwest of the Forge Bases. The bad thing about this island is that you have to use a flying mount to get there… but the positives are great! The level 70 mobs have pretty much the same drop rates as the Forge Bases, but you are going to be collecting a ton more Mana Thistle and Dreaming Glory Herbs here. They also drop a high amount of green items that you can disenchant. Keep your eyes peeled for Socrethar though; he is an elite located in the middle of the island. He does not stray far from the middle though, so you should be pretty safe.
If you go about it efficiently in the Netherland spots, you will be able to pull in about 3 Fel Armaments and roughly 30 Marks of Sargeras an hour. These stacked with the rest of the loot, the herbs and disenchants… you will easily be pulling on 100g per hour.
Another place to check out for Mark of Sargeras and Fel Armaments is the east side of Blade’s Edge Mountains. To the south, around and inside Death’s Door, you will find level 66-68 demon mobs such as Death’s Might, Deathforge Technician, and Death’s Watch. They will drop Mark of Sargeras at 25% and Fel Armament at 2%.
Towards the north of here, at Forge Camp Anger, you are going to find tons of Doomforge Attendants and Doomforge Engineers, level 67-68. These fellas have a bit higher drop rates for the Aldor Rep Items than the Deathforge Mobs, but they are a bit tougher to kill. For the engineers, this is the only place you can get the very rare Bind of Pickup Schematic for Felsteel Boomstick… which of course is very handy for leveling up your engineering skill past 360. Doomforge Engineers are the only ones that drop the Schematic.
